My Scrappy Afternoon...

Last Monday I managed to get away for the arvo to my Sil Shell's for some scrapping time....without kids.
Had a lovely afternoon, but mainly peaceful and easily got 3 layouts done in 4 hrs which is pretty good for me as well as the fact that I just grabbed random papers chucked them in my trolley and hoped for the best!

So this was a colour challenge for Challenge Heaven, of Blue, Green and Orange and had the perfect photo for it!

next was the word challenge which had to have Daddy in the title and used this chipboard I have had for ages and used Allison Ellis glitter on it....

and lastly using the new Sass Lass papers Nerdy bird

So I got home and was still feeling creative and completed Savvy's colour challenge of Red, Blue and White....love this pic of the kids on Australia Day!!

So hopefully heading back over tomorrow afternoon for another arvo of scrap therapy.....hope your housework is done Shell!! LOL

One and only....

Until yesterday I had only done one lonely layout which was this gorgeous pic of Isabelle at Carols by Candelight last year dressed up as an elf. I have used Savvy's December We're Savvy kit....

So first thing yesterday morning I got stuck into my housework then at lunch headed to my SIL Shell's place for some arvo scrapping. Had a lovely afternoon and even got 3 layouts done which I will photo this arvo and share! Fingers crossed we can have some more arvo's like this more often as it was sooooooo peaceful.. and productive!!

Never enough hours in the day!!

Why is it when you are at work the day just drags on YET when your not at work the day is over before you even know it! I was so looking forward to scrapping during my 3 days off and yep you guessed it, I havent.

Anyways I do still have a few layouts to share....photo's are all quite dark not sure what I am doing wrong at the moment

First up is the March sketch challenge at Challenge Heaven which always have 8 challenges a month if you are interested...

next is the sketch challenge at Savvy by Anthea and I have used March's We're Savvy kit which is full of Crate Paper, Brook which is just gorgeous. I only added twine, pins and a few stickers of my own.

another great sketch from Wendy at Anna's Craft Cupboard and this time I have used Sass Lass Apple Jack.....totally loving all the new Cha coming out although it is sending me broke!! LOL

Bits and Pieces...

A few layouts to share from the weekend, actually got some "me" time on Sunday while DH took kids to a birthday party. It was so peaceful that I ended up only scrapping one page then watched a movie...all by myself. Funny how the little things are so big! lol

So here's a rare page of Damo and me.....I don't think I ever scrap us together!

another page using basic Grey Origins range, have really enjoyed playing with this range especially since the PP's are double-sided

and lastly another random page, pretty basic using scraps from my ever growing scrap pile.

Have just got hold of the new Sass Lass papers and looking forward to having a play with them on the weekend, so funky, Love it!

52 Facts update....

I have been real slack the last two weeks in doing my 52 weeks of me. I have only thus done 3 Lo's, but in saying that my gosh what alot of memories I have hidden away in my old photo albums and it makes me realise how important scrapping is to me cause I looked through that album and I knew the stories attached to certain photo's but no-one else!!
These facts are in no particular order I will work that bit out when I am finished!! lol

Fact- Ange has been one of my closest friends from probably primary school. We used to live near each other in Malua Bay, she went on to go to Moruya High School and I onto Bay high so lost touch there for awhile then after school we resumed our friendship. This pic was on her wedding day back in 2001 ...

Fact - Another close friend to me was Dave who was my closest pal when I moved to Sydney. He was always there for me and kept me smiling when I was down...

Fact - Football was pretty much the norm for us on the weekend with both Damo's brothers playing for Collegians. So the boys watched the footy and us girls caught up on all the goss.

So that is as far as I have gotten, but definitely looking forward to going through some more albums!!
