Layout update

Well I have quite a few layouts to share as it has been over a week since i blogged!! In that time I have been to two crops as well as had a birthday and got myself a HEAP of new scrap stuff!! (gotta love birthdays)

So here we go!!

Firstly is my Layouts from crop at Scrapbooking Delights which is very rare that I attend as hubby is always on night shift but he had his first Friday night off in like 10months so I abandoned him, of course....LOL

This is an old inspired blueprints sketch..

This is a sketch I have used from 52 sketches 52 weeks, only just came across this fantastic sketch site. You must check it out!! Love these pics of Nate and my gorgeous niece Emily. She so adores him which probably has something to do with the fact that he is her only boy cousin!

And this is another sketch from the same site.

The next is the sketch challenge this month at Anna's Craft cupboard and I believe it is the very talented Wendy Smith's sketch.

Now I planned on sending this next sketch in for What is old is new but of course I didn't read all the components of the challenge as I was meant to use Glimmermist or similar so I will be redoing this one but not to worry it is a great sketch!

Just a couple more....these are sketches 34 & 35 at Inspired blueprints. I am soooooo in love with October Afternoon's new ranges. Report Card and Farm Fresh are Adorable and am so looking forward to using them more.

well I think that will do tonight and I will share my others from Savvy's crop at a later date! Hope I didn't bore you.....I must post more regularly I think.

Why have I been so busy???

I'm not exactly sure WHY but it seems like my last two weeks have been flat out with non stop plans and no Me time (aka scrapping time)
I guess heading into Xmas now the party's start, work is flat out and there will be even more less time.

So anyway over the last couple of weeks I have managed a few layouts, to share and this one I did today which is a challenge at Scrapbook Savvy...Natey boy in his little swimmers and his cute little bum!!

This one is the colour challenge at Savvy as well....It has photographed really badly and not exactly sure why

and last one to share tonight is Stuck sketches 1st Nov sketch...

I will upload a few more tomorrow cause I am off now to attempt to scrap while the kids are still up. Wish me luck!! LOL

Scrap the Boys November Challenge

So this month's challenge at Scrap the Boy's is you must take inspiration from the children's nursery rhyme,

What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails

Here is my sample

This was Nate at Myuna Farm, trudging around in the rain, and it was guaranteed that any puddle, mud patch, dirt etc, he found it!! He was a mess! (ie what little boys are made of)

Send your entries to susan.longman@bigpond.com.au to be in the running for some fabulous prizes.

The things you will do for a Scrap page!!

So this is my first layout to share with you, but there is a REALLY funny story behind it!!!

while we were on holidays in Melbourne we went and visited Myuna Farm, and as you do you take a million photo's.I had this page in my head and new exactly what I wanted to use and that was feathers. So here I was trying to get close enough to the animals to try and steal a feather or so with no luck.....until I finally got hold of an emu and plucked that feather right off him, which mind you I think looks great on the page. My only regret is that I didn't get more!! LOL

This weekend was the Savvy Cybercrop, but I only managed to complete two challenges. Firstly, my interpretation of Kayla's Challenge.....and I absolutely love how this turned out especially the photo of Isabelle!!

Next was the blind scrap on Sat night.....

I do have one bit of news and that is I finally decided to give it a go of submitting some of my layouts for publication and I was lucky enough for Scrapbooking Memories to accept a layout, just have to wait and see what happens from here!!

More layouts from crop!!

Just quickly (as I am meant to be cleaning up the kitchen...lol) are the last of my layouts from crop on Saturday.

this one I used October's sketch at What is old is new but just realised that I was meant to use PP as the base....der!! Oh well it is a fab sketch so don't mind doing another!!

next was a sketch challenge on the night which was a pagemaps sketch....don't you just love the new range of AC Thickers. Some of them are devine!!

this one was a blind challenge from Challenge Heaven that I did start on the Friday night but was too buggered so finished it on the night!

and lastly a just because one using websters pages of Isabelle and my niece Abbey....they are so cute together.

Also have a few from todays crop at Savvy but my mojo must have up and left me after Saturday's efforts as I am not really happy with what I achieved today....but you get that!

Don't forget that Savvy is holding their cybercrop this weekend and the theme is of course "PINK". Should be a great one and heaps of fab challenges. Hope to see you there!!

Pink Ribbon Crop

Saturday was the Pink Ribbon Crop and what a fantastic night it was!! Besides the fact we had 9hrs of scrapping there were great raffles and challenges for all! I was lucky enough to win the "pink" themed challenge where we had to create a LO with pink in it, handwritten journalling, ribbon and inking. This was my layout....

I won this awesome pack donated by Green Tara....LOVE IT!! So thanks Green Tara!!

Not exactly sure how much was raised but it all counts in the end for this great cause.
I managed to get another 5 layouts completed but will upload tomorrow.

Other layouts to share is this one which was from the Savvy Round Robin

and this is the ad challenge from Savvy....

that's it for tonight just a quickie, be back tomorrow with the rest!
