Storyboard sketch..

This month I decided to take up Storyboard Kits challenge to create a layout using a Storyboard sketch, plus I have used some bits and pieces from leftovers from the last couple of kits ( and some bits of my own) to create this layout.

I used the sketch from the site...

and here is my layout.

I am really into the whole paper pleating/ruffling at the moment and really love the effect it adds to the page. I also love the versatility of the Storyboard kits and love the fact that I can normally adapt them for a boy and girl page!

So off to do some more scrapping, till then....

Pirate Day....

A couple of weeks ago Nate had a Pirate dress up day at his daycare, and had so much fun dressing up and learning how to talk like a pirate.

Here are some pics of my little cutie....

and I have used sketch #57 at Inspired Blueprints...

Happy scrapping!!

The Pinata Cake...

For Isabelle's 4th birthday this year, she really wanted this pinata cake, and looking at the recipe, I thought that maybe I could pull it off. Well after many hours of fiddling around making the choc mould and individually pasting every single mm & smartie on the outside of the cake....I had done it!!

all the hours of work were definitely worth it when I saw the look on her face....

This page was for the Themed challenge over at Challenge Heaven where you had to include a birthday cake in the layout.

Another challenge I got done over the weekend for Challenge Heaven was this one for the Word challenge.....Smile.

I am really trying to add more layers to my layouts lately and also for the first time in absolutely ages I have started distressing again, I remember about twelve months ago I never dared not distress a page then I lost my distresser and I stopped!
But it's back....

My first Sketchabilities reveal

Sketch #33 is my first sketch as Dt for Sketchabilities, and what a great sketch it is!

In order to qualify for a scrapkit worth $35.00 from Scrapshotz, you will need to complete a layout using Sketch #33 or Sketch #34(oct 30th Reveal) and link using Mr Linky ...you have until Nov 10 to complete this challenge!

Here is the sketch....

and my layout using some bits from the Storyboard kit, Camryn plus some websters pages, 7 gypsies stickers and glimmermist from my own stash... I created the scallop by cutting out a heap of circles, cutting them in half and arranging around the circle and a heap of fussy cutting and layering, took a while but I was really happy with the end result!!

Ebony & Ivory.......

The ebony and Ivory challenge at Challenge Heaven this month is;

- Black OR White with blue and yellow
- Use at least 2 circles on your layout

Here is my layout using some leftovers from last month's Storyboard Kit plus some October Afternoon PP, Bella Blvd bloom, 2 Crafty chipboard, twine and some OA Stickers.

These pics are priceless and the story goes as such....

Kids were out playing in the backyard with Grandpa when they found this snail, they were fascinated by it. Much to my disgust they let it crawl all over them, they then made it a little house out the back, bathed it in the birdbath, fed it lunch, took it for a walk then after about 3 hrs of play they decided they had had enough so they put it on the footpath and squashed it!! Then tried to hide the evidence.....very funny day!

I really should be in bed....

I really should be in bed right now as I got some bad news a few hours ago and have to make an early morning dash to my hometown, Batemans Bay as I found out that my grandmother has been taken to hospital and is seriously ill and does not have much longer here with us. My Dad convinced me not to drive down tonight as it is at least a 3 hr drive with two kids, and I just hope and pray I get there before it's too late!
So I can't sleep, I really don't know what to do with myself so I though I would blog, to try and take my mind off it.

I don't really have much to share except a couple of layouts from last week. first off is another great sketch this month at Challenge Heaven

here is Belle, dancing around as usual, she is getting quite used to me having the camera pointed at her all the time, before she used to get the cranks but now that she knows it's for "my scrapping" it is a different story.

and lastly sketch #56 at Inspired Blueprints....

and my take with it. Nate on his birthday with his prized possession, Woody! he goes everywhere with him and totally adores him.

So that's all I have to share for now, I'm going to try and get some sleep.. Night

Anna's Sketches....

I'm a bit behind the times posting some of my layouts but here I have last months and this months sketch at Anna's Craft Cupboard, which I always love to do as the sketches are Wendy Smith's...

Here is last month's sketch

and the layout I created using some old papers from my stash..

and this months sketch was actually for four smaller pics but I have had this pic hanging around for awhile and really wanted to finally scrap it!

because it was such a great sketch, I have just printed a heap of smaller pics, so will probably be doing it again!

Anyways off to finish some projects that are due, hate leaving them to the last minute, enjoy this gorgeous day....

Oh when the Saints go marching in........

Today is recovery day after a massive grand final day and the Dragons FINALLY bringing home a premiership!! I'm so proud of them they deserve it.

We started the day with covering the house in red and white balloons and streamers plus spray painting next doors lawn with "go the dragons" as they are Roosters fans!! LOL

and then for the junior dragons army, they were just a tad excited!!

Isabelle was ready to cheer on the Mighty Dragons....

after a nail-biting first half the Dragons were down 8-6 and I thought there was No way I could handle another 40 mins of Footy but they came back on fire and smashed those Roosters to bring home the premiership since 1979.

To say we were excited is an understatement.....Damo had said at the start of the game that if The Dragons won he would do a nudey run down the street flying the flag.....thank gosh I convinced him to at least put something on the bottom even if it was a red g-string! LOl, the embarrassment was well worth it, but lets say I won't be sharing those pics!

I had more pics to share but blogger is playing up so will share at a later date!
